In Spanish 5, the class requires that students read and comprehend
literature. Senora Wallis has chosen to read “Los Arboles Mueren de Pie”- a twisted
love story following the reality of a fantasy life.
The story goes into depth about a woman who needs a change.
Her life dwindles so low that Isabel, the protagonist, contemplates committing
suicide by means of poison. She is rescued by a bouquet of flowers with a card
saying “tomorrow”.
The flowers sent her on a path to a mysterious office. Nothing
seems to fit, she can not put the pieces together.
